We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer for a project in Lisbon.
Job Description
The role will involve leveraging large volumes of data from internal sources, developing, maintaining, and supporting data pipelines, understanding and assessing the needs of the business, ensuring architecture meets business requirements, recommending ways to efficiently provide quality data and added value, communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including data analysts, product managers, and business leaders, prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Academic background in Engineering, Economics, Computing, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields;
* 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in data architecture;
* Availability to work in the hybrid model or in person in the Lisbon or Porto office;
* Professional experience in any data visualization tool such as Tableau or Power BI;
* Professional experience in data analysis with programming, preferably Python (Pandas);
* Proficiency in SQL;
* Fluency in written and spoken English;
* Ability to analyze, synthesize, and simplify;
* Knowledge of descriptive statistics and hypothesis testing is a plus;
* Knowledge in Big Data technology such as Pyspark, Presto, and Airflow is a plus;
* Knowledge of Power Query and DAX is a plus;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams;
* Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines;
* Fluency in English;
* Tableau/PowerBI or other visualization tools is a plus;
* CI / CD (Jenkins) is a plus;
* Knowledge and interest in financial markets are a plus.
