Specialist IS Business Systems Analyst

In this vital role supporting Amgen Technology, you will focus on providing business analysis and solution development support for our Product and Portfolio Management (PPM) business partners to drive Amgen’s innovation, product strategies, and portfolio analysis in drug discovery. You will support Amgen’s business critical, multi-functional processes through creative technology solutions to accelerate and grow Amgen’s pipeline of biopharmaceuticals. Amgen Technology is a distributed team of system and domain experts. You will be an active participant in all aspects of supporting the Amgen business functions. The role requires aptitude to learn a complex business domain quickly and the agility to respond to rapidly evolving internal and external requirements.
Responsibilities:
* Administer and configure the Planisware system for portfolio, project, and resource management.
* Analyze business needs and implement scalable PPM solutions.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors on enhancements, support, and release cycles.
* Create technical documentation and provide data analysis to support decision-making.
* Support system maintenance, testing, and global PPM initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:
* Doctorate degree OR
* Master’s degree & 2 years of Information Systems experience OR
* Bachelor’s degree & 4 years of Information Systems experience OR
* Associate’s degree & 10 years of Information Systems experience OR
* High school diploma/GED & 12 years of Information Systems experience
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or Life Sciences.
* Experience with COTS applications and knowledge of the life sciences or biotech/pharma industry.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to understand business domains and translate requirements into technical solutions.
* Familiarity with Planisware, SQL, data analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau).
* Understanding of software development lifecycles (Agile, SCRUM, DevOps, Waterfall).
* Project management or business analysis experience in a global, cross-functional environment.
