The Role
We are seeking a Sustainable Aviation Senior Consultant to support and lead high-impact advisory engagements across aviation fuel and SAF markets, with a strong emphasis on project and programme management and regulatory compliance delivery.
This role is designed for an experienced consultant who can own delivery end-to-end—from structuring workplans and managing stakeholders, to delivering clear, actionable recommendations to senior decision-makers. You will work across multiple projects involving SAF strategy, fuel market analysis, regulatory readiness, ReFuelEU Aviation and EU ETS compliance, and implementation planning.
What You Will Do
Project & Programme Management
* Lead small to mid-size consulting projects and workstreams, from initiation through delivery and close-out.
* Own project plans, milestones, deliverables, timelines, and internal coordination, ensuring disciplined execution.
* Act as the day-to-day client lead, managing progress updates, risks, and decision alignment.
* Coordinate inputs across commercial, supply, analytics, sustainability, compliance, and legal stakeholders.
* Proactively identify delivery risks, dependencies, and resourcing needs, and implement mitigation actions.
Sustainable Aviation & Fuel Advisory
* Deliver advisory work across sustainable aviation strategy, SAF market assessment, and fuel supply-chain optimisation.
* Support clients in navigating SAF mandates, voluntary and compliance markets, certification pathways, and reporting requirements.
* Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis covering market availability, pricing structures, supply risk, and regulatory impact.
* Translate complex technical and policy inputs into clear, decision-ready client outputs.
Regulatory Compliance Management — ReFuelEU & EU ETS
* Manage ReFuelEU Aviation compliance for fuel suppliers and aircraft operators, including SAF blending obligations and trajectories, e-SAF (synthetic fuel) sub-mandates, fuel-uplift (anti-tankering) requirements, and associated reporting and registry obligations.
* Support EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) obligations across aviation, including monitoring plans, MRV (monitoring, reporting, verification), EU Allowance (EUA) management and surrender, the phase-out of free allocation, and SAF-linked incentive mechanisms.
* Build and maintain compliance calendars, data trails, and audit-ready documentation aligned to reporting deadlines and verification cycles.
* Advise on the interaction between ReFuelEU, EU ETS, and CORSIA—helping clients avoid double-counting, manage exposure, and optimise compliance cost.
* Track evolving EU and national regulatory requirements and translate them into operational compliance actions, governance, and client roadmaps.
Stakeholder Engagement & Business Development
* Lead or support stakeholder consultations with airlines, operators, fuel suppliers, airports, regulators, and verification bodies.
* Contribute to proposal development, scope definition, and client presentations.
* Represent 360 Jet Fuel in workshops, working sessions, and industry forums where appropriate.

Skills, Experience & Profile
Required
* 5+ years' experience in consulting, advisory, or strategy roles within aviation, fuels, energy, transport, or sustainability.
* Demonstrated experience in project or programme management, including ownership of timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder coordination.
* Working knowledge of EU aviation fuel and emissions regulation, including ReFuelEU Aviation and the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS).
* Strong analytical capability, with experience in market analysis, policy assessment, or commercial strategy.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client-ready reporting and executive-level presentations.
* Ability to operate effectively across multiple parallel workstreams in an international environment.
Highly Valued
* Hands-on experience managing ReFuelEU and/or EU ETS compliance—e.g. MRV, EUA/allowance management, SAF blending and reporting obligations, or verification preparation.
* Experience with sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), biofuels, or energy transition projects.
* Familiarity with the broader aviation sustainability and regulatory landscape (e.g. EU, UK, CORSIA, and national implementing rules).
* Experience supervising or mentoring junior consultants or analysts.
* Comfort working in fast-moving, project-based consulting environments.
