ABOUT THE ROLE:I BASIS is looking for a business-savvy Legal Counsel to join a small dynamic legal team.
In practice the focus of this role will be primarily on international commercial contracts, supporting the company at every stage of a commercial relationship: from drafting contracts to contract review and negotiation, and assisting in the resolution of disputes.
Advising on contract law issues as well as assisting in various telecommunications regulatory and general corporate and compliance issues will also be part of your activities.
This position will provide the opportunity to be engaged in a broad range of legal duties in an international business environment.
The position is located in Lisbon (Portugal).RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepare, review and negotiate commercial telecommunications service agreements and other commercial agreements.Manage non-US regulatory requirements and related regulatory issues.Draft and negotiate data use agreements/data processing agreements with partners, clients and vendors.Manage data breach response protocols.Oversee the company's privacy policies and compliance with data protection regulations.Conduct, support, revise and adapt Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and provide advice regarding DPIAs.Maintain and update the company's record of processing activities with the support of DPO.Provide necessary legal support for product teams
