Executive Chef Opportunity



We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team at a prestigious, award-winning hotel in Madeira. This is a unique opportunity to work in a stunning location and be part of a dynamic culinary team.

As Executive Chef, you will be responsible for managing all kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and inventory management. You will also lead, motivate, and develop the kitchen team, ensuring they meet high culinary and hygiene standards.

To succeed in this role, you will require strong organizational skills, accountability, and team spirit. You should have several years of experience in a senior kitchen role within hotel or hospitality environments and be passionate about creative, regionally inspired cuisine with sustainable ingredients.

You will be fluent in English and Portuguese, with German being an asset. If you are enthusiastic about living and working on one of Europe's most beautiful islands, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.


Key Responsibilities:

* Support the Head Chef in managing all kitchen operations
* Assist in leading, motivating, and developing the kitchen team (incl. assistants, kitchen staff, and service personnel)
* Evaluate and ensure adherence to top culinary and hygiene standards
* Contribute to the creation and implementation of a regional, organic-focused menu
* Coordinate with the Head Chef and hotel management to optimize processes and enhance guest satisfaction


Requirements:

* Several years of experience in a responsible kitchen role within hotel or hospitality environments
* Strong organizational skills, accountability, and team spirit
* Passion for creative, regionally inspired cuisine with sustainable ingredients
* Language skills: Fluent English and Portuguese required; German is a plus
* Enthusiasm for living and working on one of Europes most beautiful islands
