The Sourcing & Procurement Specialist - Senior will have responsibility for sourcing and category management activities in the assigned categories, such as Contract Transportation – Road Linehaul. In collaboration with business partners, you will constantly liaise with key stakeholders to develop and implement sourcing strategies.

The ideal candidate can set category strategies, identify and analyze cost-saving opportunities, align complex business requirements, execute multi-country tenders via our e-sourcing platforms, and drive supplier award decisions.
Join our Sourcing team as a Sourcing and Procurement Specialist for Contract Transportation - Road Linehaul. Our team is responsible for sourcing goods and services supporting FedEx’s international success, ensuring quality, availability, and innovation at a sustainable cost. We aim to balance cost, mitigate supply risks, and maximize value, advising internal clients and leading professional sourcing processes aligned with FedEx’s sustainability goals towards 2040.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Perform category management, including strategic sourcing, supplier relationship, contract, performance, and risk management.
2. Lead sourcing strategies to reduce costs and develop sustainable initiatives.
3. Analyze market trends and conduct continuous market intelligence.
4. Perform procurement reporting and data analysis for cost and service improvements.
5. Manage stakeholder relationships and prioritize sourcing needs.
6. Define sourcing strategies based on business requirements.
7. Lead RFx processes, including e-sourcing events, contract negotiations, and legal liaising.
8. Support procurement excellence projects and initiatives.
Required experience and skills include:
1. Relevant international procurement, strategic sourcing, and category management experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
2. Ability to work independently and lead strategic sourcing programs.
3. Strong analytical skills, market research ability, and contract development experience.
4. Excellent stakeholder and supplier management skills.
5. Robust change management and multi-project handling capabilities.
6. Effective communication skills in English; additional European languages are a plus.
7. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
8. European nationality or Dutch work permit required.
