About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Technician to join our Lisbon office. This is a key role in supporting the finance department, ensuring compliance with legal and tax obligations, assisting with accounting tasks, and guaranteeing strict conformity with financial records as well as with applicable legal and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Record, classify, and organize accounting documents accurately.
* Prepare and analyze balance sheets, financial statements, and management reports.
* Prepare and submit tax declarations (VAT, IRC, IES, etc.).
* Support payroll processing and employee-related accounting.
* Assist in budget preparation and financial planning.
* Perform bank reconciliations and monitor accounts.
* Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Required Skills and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Management, or a related field.
* Minimum of 4 years of experience in similar accounting roles.
* Valid registration with the Portuguese Order of Certified Accountants is preferable.
* Proficiency in accounting software, including Toconline and Primavera, will be valued.
* Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
* Excellent analytical skills, organization, and sense of responsibility.
* Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
* Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
