Job Title: Professional Internship in 3D Mechanical Design
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a professional intern in 3D mechanical design. In this role, you will work on creating and modifying detailed 3D CAD models using Solid Edge and Fusion 360.
As a 3D mechanical designer, your primary responsibility will be to develop assembly and component models based on engineering specifications. You will also be responsible for ensuring accuracy and compliance with design standards.
In addition to your technical skills, you will need to have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. You should be proficient in 3D modeling software (SolidEdge, Fusion 360 etc.) and have experience with industrial process simulation software (FlexSim, Visual Components, etc.).
A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Design, or equivalent is required. You should also have basic understanding of virtualization technologies and their application in industrial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create and modify detailed 3D CAD models using Solid Edge and Fusion 360.
* Develop assembly and component models based on engineering specifications.
* Ensure accuracy and compliance with design standards.
* Use simulation software like FlexSim or Visual Components for manufacturing processes.
* Create virtual prototypes to optimize product functionality and efficiency.
* Analyze simulation results for bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
* Prepare technical drawings and documentation to support models and simulations.
* Maintain organized records of design changes.
Requirements:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Design, or equivalent.
* Proficiency in 3D modeling software (SolidEdge, Fusion 360 etc.).
* Experience with industrial process simulation software (FlexSim, Visual Components, etc.).

* Work environment is presential in Lisbon Aptiv Center.
* Availability for traveling in Europe is required.
