The Database Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining Oracle and/or SQL Server database environments. This includes ensuring performance, availability, and security, as well as performing routine tasks such as monitoring, tuning, patching, backup, and recovery.
They will also support database-related activities within migration and transformation projects to cloud platforms, collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure efficient database integration and reliable system operation, and assist in troubleshooting database issues.
In addition, the Database Administrator contributes to the implementation of best practices in database management and cloud readiness, documents database configurations, processes, technical procedures, and operational guidelines.
Requirements
* Academic background and professional experience in database administration for Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server
* Basic knowledge of PL/SQL, SQL, Linux, and Windows operating systems
* Experience participating in cloud migration or cloud transformation projects
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in dynamic technical environments
* Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
* Proactive mindset, organization skills, and attention to detail
* Good command of the English language (spoken and written)
