Overview

Lead Developer role with a hybrid model based in Valencia. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software for the banking sector.


Responsibilities

* Provide Technical Leadership: Act as a servant leader by offering technical guidance and mentorship to the team, helping them apply common design patterns and best practices to deliver high-quality code.
* Drive Execution and Impact: Push the team to meet business goals and deadlines, actively resolving blockers and ensuring impactful results.
* Foster Team Collaboration: Promote a collaborative environment with open communication, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
* Ensure Code Quality and Best Practices: Oversee code quality through testing and code reviews, adhering to industry standards.
* Participate in Agile Development: Engage in Agile ceremonies to support effective collaboration and project execution.
* Conduct Regular 1:1s: Meet with developers to provide feedback and support growth and development needs.
* Identify Opportunities for Improvement: Continuously assess processes and implement changes to enhance efficiency and team dynamics.


Required Skills

* Proficiency in Development: Backend and/or frontend development with modern frameworks, libraries, and languages.
* System Architecture Knowledge: Designing and understanding complex architectures and component interactions.
* Component-Based Architecture: Designing and using reusable components for scalable codebases.
* Code Quality and Best Practices: Conducting thorough code reviews and promoting clean code principles.
* Decision-Making and Leadership: Guiding technical and architectural decisions and documenting them.
* Mentorship and Team Development: Mentoring team members and fostering continuous growth.
* Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile frameworks for smooth delivery.


Preferred Skills

* Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
* Agile Mindset: Preference for Agile methodologies and iterative development.
* Passion for Digital Innovation: Interest in the Digital IT sector and emerging technologies.
* Banking Industry Knowledge: Understanding of banking is beneficial; openness to learning.
* Language Proficiency: English fluency (minimum B2); German is a plus.
* Strong Communicator: Ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
* Team Player and Servant Leader: Collaborative with distributed teams.
* Analytical and Problem Solving: Strong analytical thinking with effective issue resolution.
* Organized and Time Management: Prioritization to meet timelines.
* Proactive and Results-Driven: Initiative to mitigate risks and keep projects on track.
* Mentorship and Growth Orientation: Commitment to learning and growth for self and team.
* Innovative and Adaptive Thinker: Brings fresh ideas while adapting to project needs.
