We are seeking a skilled professional to take on the role of Product Category Manager in Italy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sustainable and profitable growth while improving margin structure.
Key Responsibilities:
* End-to-end financial ownership: Oversee the economic performance of assigned categories in Italy, driving sustainable and profitable growth while improving margin structure.
* Category strategy development: Shape the commercial direction for mattresses, beds, and accessories, tailoring the global assortment to local needs and identifying untapped customer segments or market spaces.
* Local pricing leadership: Design and manage national pricing approach across channels, using data-driven insights to optimize revenue and profitability.
* Go-to-market leadership for new products: Coordinate all activities related to introducing new items in the Italian market, working closely with Global Product Success, Sourcing, Marketing, and UX teams.
* Product lifecycle management: Plan and execute product introductions and retirements, ensuring that the category portfolio evolves smoothly, efficiently, and in line with cost and market considerations.
* Commercial and campaign planning: Ensure promotional calendar is coherent, impactful, and aligned with overall business goals as a key partner to the Marketing team.
* Digital performance improvement: Enhance online conversion, assortment visibility, and presentation of your categories on the digital storefront in collaboration with the Regional Webshop team.
* Cross-functional work with Operations & Sourcing: Support initiatives aimed at optimizing cost structures, improving supply reliability, and strengthening operational performance for the Italian business.
* Category specialist for Italy: Act as internal expert, delivering insights, competitive benchmarks, and strategic recommendations to the local leadership team.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Economics, Business, or similar fields.
* 2+ years of experience in Category Management, Strategy, Consulting, or related roles (ideally in e-commerce, retail, or consumer goods).
* Experience owning or contributing to P&L performance.
* Strong analytical and strategic mindset, able to connect data, pricing, product performance, and customer insights.
* High level of ownership and an entrepreneurial approach.
* Solid understanding of commercial levers (pricing, margins, channel dynamics, portfolio management).
* Strong execution and project coordination skills.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
* Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments.
* Fluency in English and Italian.
