Position SummaryThis position is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level, supporting the plant, and working with regional and corporate team members to ensure alignment with, and compliance to, local and corporate goals and objectives.
Responsibilities include employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy application and implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action, and employment law compliance.
Position Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:Counsel employees and staff on employee relations issues and resolutions.Manage employee files (paper and electronic), including timely data entry into HR, payroll, and attendance systems to ensure accurate and on-time employee payments.Act as liaison between hiring managers and corporate recruiters to fill open salaried positions.Work with hiring managers to recruit, hire, and retain hourly staff.Conduct orientation and ensure full onboarding of all new salaried and hourly hires.Coordinate and ensure compliance with government reporting requirements.Manage hourly wage administration processes and recommend changes for compliance and equity.Review and recommend salary adjustments to ensure compliance and equity.Assist staff and employees with performance management processes and reviews.Coordinate and/or conduct internal training; assist staff in identifying external training to address skill gaps or meet compliance.Collaborate with plant and HR corporate management on organization design and structure.Drive local talent management and succession planning processes.Ensure timely communication of employee changes to relevant parties.Participate in administrative and employee meetings across shifts.Conduct regular meetings with leadership to exchange information, provide updates, and resolve issues.Disseminate and communicate HR policies and procedures.Coordinate with environmental, health, and safety teams to achieve safety goals.Manage workers' compensation claims and liaise with the administrator.Coordinate with the benefits team to communicate and resolve benefit-related matters.Lead HR projects to enhance organizational effectiveness, collaborating with HR staff on initiatives and continuous improvement.Participate in other HR projects and initiatives as assigned.Qualifications - Education/ExperienceRequired: Bachelor of Science in Human Resources or related business discipline.Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible HR experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience in organizational design and development.Effective collaboration with all organizational levels.Excellent project management skills.Ability to drive process and cultural change.Ability to work within budget guidelines.Strong team-building skills.Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.Ability to analyze complex documents.Effective response to sensitive inquiries or complaints.Strong computer skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.Fluent in English and Spanish.Preferred: MS or MSA and/or PHR or SPHR certification.Experience with Google for Work.We consider all applicants regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, genetic information, or veteran status.
