. SWI2M is developing for IMDM an application for asset management, and we seek a software developer to join our dynamic team in Funchal, Madeira and to participate in developing and maintaining our web-based application.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with our team of developers to design, build, test, and deploy new features for our web-based application
Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of our existing codebase, resolving issues as they arise
Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in web development, and share your knowledge with the team
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in PHP, C and Python
Analyse, prototype, develop, and maintain an API
Demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with an ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
At least 2 years of experience in software development, with a focus on web-based applications
Proficiency in PHP 8 to PHP 5, and the MVC design pattern
Knowledge on one or more PHP frameworks (Symfony and/or Laravel)
Familiarity with modern development best practices
Proficiency in database design, management and query design for SQL and NoSQL (MariaDB / MongoDB)
APPRECIATED SKILLS
Experience with Linux, Docker and Kubernetes environments
Familiarity with quality and continuous integration tools
Proficiency with Azure DevOps and Azure environment
Experience with C and Python
PERSONAL QUALITIES
Curiosity and passion for web technologies
Strong sense of initiative and responsibility
Excellent analytical and synthesis skills
Ability to work both in a team and autonomously
Dynamic, rigorous, and proactive
Fluent in English, both spoken and written, French is a plus
Excellent communication and time management skills
