A Banqueting Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Conference and Banqueting operations to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while ensuring department targets are met.
What will I be doing?
As a Banqueting Manager, you are responsible for overseeing all aspects of Conference and Banqueting operations to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. You will also be required to set budgets and provide leadership to the team to ensure targets are met. Specifically, your responsibilities include:
* Oversee and manage all Banqueting operations
* Be present at events and ensure all setups are executed in a timely manner
* Maintain exceptional levels of customer service
* Ensure compliance with brand standards
* Evaluate guest satisfaction levels with a focus on continuous improvement
* Stay aware of trends and propose ideas to enhance the range and quality of Conference and Banquet services
* Optimize sales and control costs, identifying areas for improvement
* Set achievable budgets and other short- and long-term goals
* Provide effective leadership to the Banqueting team to meet and exceed targets, supporting both hotel success and individual development
* Conduct communication meetings and generate post-meeting minutes
* Manage staff performance issues in line with company policies and procedures
* Recruit, manage, train, and develop the Banqueting team

* Experience in Conference and Banquet Operations in a managerial role within a hotel, Events Centre, or similar setting
* A degree or diploma in Hotel Management or an equivalent qualification
* A passion for delivering outstanding guest service
