Consider your next career step as Finacial Director in our Hotel 5* in Madeira (Dreams Madeira Resort & Spa Marina).
Your main mission will be: to report to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the Financial management: Supervising all the hotel's financial activities, including cash flow, bank reconciliations and profitability analyses.
Your main functions will be:
- Preparation of financial reports: Ensuring accuracy in the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports, in line with regulatory requirements
- Budget and planning: Participating in the preparation of the annual budget, financial forecasts and monitoring results
- Cost control: Analysing and controlling the hotel's operating costs, identifying opportunities to improve financial efficiency
- Compliance and auditing: Ensure compliance with local tax and regulatory standards, supervising internal and external audits
- Interdepartmental collaboration: Working closely with other departments to provide financial information that supports strategic decisions
- Establish and maintain internal controls to prevent fraud and financial mismanagement
- Develop the investment plan
- Define the general conditions for implementing financial policies and control their execution
- Analyzing contracts with suppliers, partners and other external companies on legal aspects and compliance rules
- Responsible of Procurement department and Warehouse
- Reporting to the headoffice and owning company
- Assist the General Manager in the strategic financial decisions

What do we expect from you?
- Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial control functions, preferably in the luxury hotel sector
- In-depth knowledge of accounting, financial control and ERP tools
- Analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Fluent English and Portuguese (preferred). Other languages a plus
- Proactivity, ability to work in a team and strategic vision
- Proven track record of strategic financial planning and execution in hospitality business
- Ability to outline financial strategy, provide strategic insights, and make data-driven recommendations
- Relational, resilient profile with strong adaptability
- Excelent leadership skills
- Good communication skills
- High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism
- Agility and adaptability in a new business environment
- May require extended hours during financial reporting periods or audits
- Able to reside in Island of Maderia, Portugal.
