Database Support Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Database Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of database systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and support critical business processes
* Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database triggers for data manipulation and reporting
* Work closely with Development teams to improve the value of business processes outcomes
* Manage high complex Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL
Database Administration:
* Implementing backup systems to ensure the integrity of all database data
* Ensuring that backups are made in accordance with strategy defined by each business line
Technical Support:
* Provide support to developers and APS teams
* Intervene in the event of incidents which limit the performance of databases or access to information
* Active participation in post-mortems for major and/or recurring database incidents
Technical Advisory:
* Ensure technological monitoring to maintain the required performance and availability through visualisation tools (e.g Dynatrace, Power BI)
* Assess and deploy innovative solutions aiming to simplify, automate and optimise database costs
Requirements:
* Solid experience with ETL processes Development, optimization and monitoring (SQL Procedures, Functions,..)
* Root cause analysis skills
* Experience with SQL performance tuning, partitioning and indexing
* Experience with Master Data Services
* ITIL
* DevOps (CI/CD)
* Monitoring tools (e.g. Dynatrace, ELK, Zabbix)
* Good soft skills (empathy, communication, etc.)
* Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
* Ability to work in a collaborative and productive environment
* Capacity for critical analysis and focused on solving blockage points
* Fluency in English is mandatory
