About the job General Accounting Head | Finance

Our Finance Team is looking for experienced professionals to join us in our BGC, Taguig site in the role of General Accounting Head.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare monthly and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with PFRS, GAAP, and other relevant accounting standards.
* Ensure proper accounting records are maintained and review reconciliation of accounts, including bank reconciliations, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany accounts.
* Supervise the staff to ensure deliverables are executed timely and properly.
* Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvements.
* Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
* Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial and regulatory audits, providing the necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
* Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency and accuracy.
* Work closely with other departments such as Loans, Treasury, Branch Operations, Risk and Compliance to ensure financial data is accurate and meets reporting requirements.
* Prepare special financial reports and analyses as requested by senior management.
What we're looking for:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is highly recommended.
* 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
* Strong understanding of financial reporting standards (PFRS, GAAP), proficiency in accounting software (e.g., GL System), and MS Excel.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
* Knowledge of banking regulations, compliance requirements, and the ability to stay updated with changes in financial reporting standards.
