About the Role

Join us in shaping the future of Market Risk systems at Hexa Consulting, where you'll be working on a strategic project within the Risk Systems domain. We're looking for a Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in regulatory and methodological initiatives, acting as the liaison between technical and functional teams such as Quant, Risk Management, and Front Office.
Hybrid 2x per week in the Porto Office.
About the Project
This opportunity is part of a major engagement led by Hexa Consulting, supporting financial institution in the evolution of their Market Risk systems. You will contribute to functional analysis, compliance-driven developments, and the overall software enhancement lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, identify needs, and translate them into User Stories
Propose, design, and develop solutions, contributing to product validation with end users
Build strong functional understanding of Finance, Risk, and Regulatory Reporting topics
Analyze incidents and ensure short-term workarounds as well as long-term fixes
Monitor monthly and quarterly closing processes, following up on issues, requests, and questions
Ensure production monitoring, piloting, and support, following BNPP standards
Document solutions and manage releases into production
Participate actively in an agile organization (ceremonies, backlog prioritization, continuous improvement)
Technical & Professional Skills
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Finance, or Economics
3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Financial / Reporting industry
Strong mastery of SQL
Good working knowledge of Python
Solid experience with Excel
Strong overall IT knowledge
Good understanding of the Banking / Finance environment
High analytical skills, reactivity, and strong reporting capabilities
Language Skills
English: B2 Minimum (mandatory)
French: Nice to have
