Electrical Systems Engineer • Évora Monte, Portuguese Republic, PT
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical architectures (power distribution, control boards, sensors, lighting, displays, communication interfaces)
- Select and qualify components such as power supplies, connectors, relays, fuses, and sensors
- Integrate third‐party hardware (card readers, printers, passport readers, touchscreens)
- Perform system‐level analysis to optimize performance and technical trade‐offs
- Ensure power and safety compliance (AC/DC, grounding, UPS, EMI/EMC, protections)
- Validate systems against regulatory standards (UL, CE, FCC, IEC, etc.)
- Build prototypes, run tests, and deliver validation reports
- Create and maintain complete engineering documentation (schematics, BOMs, wiring diagrams, test protocols)
- Support manufacturing readiness, pilot phases, and mass production
- Contribute to on‐site system integration when needed
What We're Looking For
- Strong background in Electrical Engineering
- Experience with electro‐mechanical system design
- Expertise in power systems, safety, and compliance (EMI/EMC, grounding, protections)
- Ability to integrate electrical, mechanical, and software systems
- Hands‐on experience with prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting
- Strong documentation and traceability skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing and industrialization processes
- Experience working in Agile/SAFe and cross‐functional teams
- Comfortable working with third‐party hardware integration
- Fluent in English
