As a Planning Lead, you will be responsible for the development, management, and monitoring of the project schedule across all phases - from design through construction, commissioning, and handover. You will work closely with project leadership, site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure accurate scheduling, reporting, and delivery against key milestones.
This is a strategic role with high visibility and direct impact on the successful execution of complex, fast-paced data centre builds.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development, management, and updating of detailed project schedules using industry-standard planning tools (e.g. Primavera P6)
* Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment of all activities with the master programme
* Provide critical path analysis, forecast risks, and propose mitigation strategies
* Prepare and issue progress reports, look-aheads, dashboards, and what-if scenarios
* Track, analyse, and report on project performance against baseline schedules
* Chair and contribute to planning and coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders
* Support delay analysis, change management, and extension of time claims
* Maintain visibility over procurement, logistics, and construction sequences to ensure integration into overall programme
* Collaborate with commercial teams to ensure scheduling data aligns with project costing and resourcing
* Implement earned value management techniques to track performance and drive project success
* Support commissioning sequencing and system readiness planning
1. Skills & Qualifications
* Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
* Minimum of 7+ years' experience in project planning/scheduling on large-scale construction or engineering projects
* Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 (essential), with experience in producing and managing complex construction schedules
* Experience working on data centres, industrial, or pharma/tech projects is highly desirable
* Ability to manage multiple work streams, dependencies, and interfaces across disciplines (CSA, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.)
* Strong analytical and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
* Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex information clearly to all levels
* Familiarity with BIM models and 4D planning tools is an advantage
* Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work under pressure
* Willingness to travel and work on-site in various European locations
