Exide Technologies' Energy Solutions division is developing and manufacturing stationary energy storage batteries, from backup power to large-scale storage systems (BESS and C&I). Exide's technology portfolio spans from multiple lead-acid over to lithium-ion technologies supporting the global energy transition and digitalization. Our storage systems are used in UPS, Telecom, Datacenters, Public Transport, in Front-of- and Behind-the-Meter applications and many more.
About the job:
For our fast-growing division Energy Solutions in Castanheira do Ribatejo, Portugal at the earliest possible date we are looking for a: R&D Engineer.
Reporting to the manager of the department, your mission will be part of the engineering mechanic group, inside of the R&D department responsible for the mechanic project of product and its components.
What will your daily responsibilities include in this role?
* Design of detailed product projects and their respective components.
* Participation in multidisciplinary project teams for the modification of existing products, within the scope of continuous improvement;
* Design of new products and monitoring their implementation;
* Technical support for different projects and departments.
What we ask for:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
* Experience in Autocad, 2D and 3D.
* Understanding of technical drawings.
* Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
* English level C1 required.
* Good IT skills.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work in international and multicultural scenarios.
* Results orientation.
* Ability to work in office and industrial environments.
* Enjoy working in a team
* Strong sense of responsibility.
