ELS is hiring for the position of Marina ForkLift Driver in Jupiter, Florida.
What you'll do:
The Marina Forklift Driver operates and manages industrial marine trucks to load and unload vessels for the Jupiter Dry Storage Marina. This position provides guidance over the Marina while maintaining the highest possible safety & customer service standards.
Job Duties:
* Unload & Load vessels from incoming vehicles and assign them to appropriate places.
* Locate and move storage customers to the preferred area for customers access to vessels.
* Identify and report damages, shortages and quality deficiencies as necessary.
* Inspect machinery, perform regular maintenance (e.g., recharging batteries and lubricating equipment) and determine repair needs.
* Keep updated records of activity logs
* Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
* Ensure a safe, efficient and injury-free working environment.
* Provide oversight across the marina docks.
* Maintenance of the docks & marina over all.
Experience & skills you need:
* High school diploma, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Experience driving industrial vehicles, preferably Marine Forklifts.
* Valid driver's license, good driving record and current auto insurance.
* Current certification to operate marine forklifts in accordance with OSHA standards.
* Strong knowledge of industrial equipment and attention to detail.
* Excellent physical condition and the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that require good hand-eye-foot coordination and sense of balance.
* Ability to assess and judge weights, distances and heights.
* Ability to work in various temperatures according to seasonal weather variations.
