BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for "dynamic, results driven" individual to join as Quality Auditor at our new production plant in Viana, Portugal
Responsibilities:
1. Approve first and last part produced according to product quality specifications to assure good parts produced
2. Ensure the collection of samples to be analysed by the laboratory in accordance with the control plan, in order to guarantee product quality and process stability.
3. Quality first point of contact to Evaluate and decide the doubts that arise in the production process, in line with quality requirements
4. Analyse the parts that do not meet quality standards on the first attempt (FTQ) and decide whether they can be reintroduced into the production line, scrapped, reworked, or analysed in the laboratory.
5. Responsible for opening quality alerts, ensuring containment, and leading the cross-functional team to resolve effectively
6. Engage supplier quality team to proceed with the incoming inspection, when defect found on raw materials in accordance with internal procedures
7. Execute statistical process to ensure the stability of manufacturing processes (PQ)
8. Responsible for the physical and system blocking of suspect parts to ensure they do not reach the customer.
9. Responsible for collecting system data and performing MSA's (Measurement System Analysis) to ensure product and process stability
10. Execute and ensure that quality documentation (control instructions, first-piece records, and actions for RAPIDS) is up to date
11. Responsible for executing R&R duties on the production line
12. Execute control by sampling in production lines according to control plan
13. Ensure the production of PPAP parts and delivery to the laboratory for testing in accordance with the control plan.
14. Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety at work standards, policies and practices in accordance with their level of responsibility.
15. Comply with environmental, health and safety, quality and productivity standards.

Requirements & Competencies
Academic Background
* Technical Degree or bachelor's degree in engineering, Industrial management or related field
Professional Experience (Years and area)
* 1 to 3 years of experience in quality auditing, preferably within the automotive industry.
Hard Skills
20. Familiarity with industry standards (IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, ISO 9001) (preferred)
21. Strong understanding of quality tools (FMEA, SPC, MSA, APQP, PPAP).
22. Ability to read and interpret technical drawing
23. Knowledge of quality tools (FMEA, SPC, MSA, APQP, PPAP,8D).
24. Experience using measurement instruments (steel ruler, calliper (inside and outside), micrometer, comparators, multimeter, screw thread micrometer, feeler gauge) and conducting inspections
