Mission
The Project & Facilities Manager is responsible for leading, coordinating, and executing construction, infrastructure, maintenance, and facility‑related projects across the organization. Leveraging a strong civil engineering background, this role ensures all assets, buildings and infrastructure are designed, constructed, operated, and maintained to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The role also oversees facility operations, contractor management, budgeting, and compliance with regulatory and environmental requirements.
Main Responsibilities
Project Management
Lead end‑to‑end management of civil, structural, and infrastructure projects from concept to completion.
Prepare project scopes, budgets, tender documents, technical specifications, and timelines.
Manage feasibility assessments, cost estimating, technical evaluations, and project reporting.
Coordinate internal stakeholders, engineering consultants, and contractors to ensure safe, timely, and on‑budget delivery.
Conduct regular site inspections, monitor progress, and implement corrective measures where needed.
Ensure all projects comply with engineering best practices, HSE regulations, and local building codes.
Facilities Management
Oversee the maintenance and operations of all company buildings, including respective equipment, electrical substations and infrastructure assets.
Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs using the implemented CMMS (Computerized maintenance management system).
Manage facility upgrades, repairs, inspections, and emergency response procedures.
Ensure optimal functioning of utilities, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and structural assets.
Lead space planning, facility layout improvements, and refurbishment initiatives following
Health, Safety, Compliance & Quality
Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards across all facilities and projects.
Maintain documentation for audits, inspections, and compliance certifications.
Promote safe work practices and ensure contractors comply with company and legal requirements.
Financial & Contract Management
Prepare and manage project and facilities budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers, service providers, and contractors.
Negotiate contracts and oversee performance to ensure quality deliverables and value for money.
Stakeholder & Team Management
Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Senior Management.
Supervise technical teams, maintenance staff, and external resources.
Provide regular project progress updates and risk assessments to management.
Desired profile
Proven experience (5–10+ years) in project management, facilities management, or infrastructure development.
Strong technical knowledge of construction standards, structural design, asset management, and site supervision.
Experience working in operational or industrial environments (e.g., logistics, ports, manufacturing, energy) is an advantage.
Proven Experience on Public Contract Management
Experience on Fidic Contract Management – Red Book (optional)
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Planner, or similar).
Strong knowledge of HSE standards and regulatory compliance.
Flexibility and adaptability to work in an expanding company;
Good knowledge Portuguese/English (Mandatory).
