Job Overview
* Ensures that AUT EMEA's molding departments are technically and technologically positioned to be a source of competitive advantage and are capable of delivering the long-term (5+ years) performance needed by the business.
* Optimization and standardization of our molding processes in AUT EMEA (molds, processes & methods).
* Monitoring, controlling, and reporting of ongoing projects, customized to plant needs.
* Developing new concepts for molding processes and production with the Center of Excellence (CoE), Manufacturing Engineering (ME), and Tool & Die (T&D).
* Developing and rolling out best practices (SDP) and CoE projects across all AUT EMEA locations.
* Supporting production capacity balancing and developing flexible processes & features (Ramp-up, Ramp-down, End-of-life management).
* Driving initiatives for increased plant productivity, automation, material savings, and cost reduction.
* Instructing department leaders and plant managers to align molding activities with management goals, roadmaps, and strategies.
* Participating in regular EMEA meetings and workshops for knowledge sharing.
* Supporting development and execution of the molding excellence process.
* Assisting manufacturing management with budgeting, CAPEX planning, equipment allocation, and related activities.
What your background should look like:
* Minimum 10+ years of experience in engineering or process development roles.
* At least 5+ years in molding, preferably in the automotive industry.
* Minimum 2+ years of management experience in a production environment.
* Strong technical background in machinery, tools, and production processes.
* Basic knowledge of Operational Excellence and Lean tools; Six Sigma certification is a plus.
* Fluent in English.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, team-oriented attitude.
* Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.
