Language Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Language Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our translation department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of translated content.
The ideal candidate will have native fluency in Portuguese and excellent understanding of grammar, vocabulary, and idiomatic expressions. You will be responsible for reviewing and revising translated text and audio files to ensure they meet the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
* Review and revise translated text and audio files for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to established guidelines and standards
* Identify and correct errors, inconsistencies, or linguistic issues in the translated content
* Verify that the translated material maintains the intended meaning and conveys the original message effectively
* Ensure proper grammar, punctuation, syntax, and terminology are used in the translated content
* Conduct research to verify the accuracy of specialized or technical terminology in the translations
* Collaborate with the team to provide constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement
* Maintain clear and organized documentation, tracking any changes or corrections made
* Communicate effectively with project managers, translators, and other stakeholders to address any concerns regarding the translated content
Requirements:
* Native fluency in Portuguese with an excellent understanding of grammar, vocabulary, and idiomatic expressions
* Proficient in English, with the ability to comprehend and evaluate the original English text
* Previous experience in translation or language review is highly desirable
* Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors and inconsistencies in the translated content
* Exceptional organizational skills to handle and manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
* Excellent communication skills and ability to provide constructive feedback
