Over time, the Lisbon hub is expected to centralise many finance and operations functions, offering excellent opportunities for career development and cross-border collaboration.About the Role The internal Finance Operations team is seeking aSenior Associateto join the Lisbon office,working within theTreasury Operations function. This role will support the day-to-day treasury activities, contribute to operational excellence, and collaborate closely with various stakeholders across the finance function.Functions: Oversee payment operations, ensuring accurate and timely execution of domestic and international payments (e.g., SEPA, SWIFT), including high-value and time-sensitive transactions. Monitor cash positions and support liquidity management by tracking daily cash balances, preparing cash flow reports, and maintaining liquidity dashboards. Maintain strong payment controls and governance by supervising approval workflows and investigating or resolving failed or delayed payments. Manage banking relationships and oversee account administration. Drive operational excellence by documenting SOPs, standardizing procedures, tracking KPIs, and contributing to continuous process improvement initiatives. Support both the Treasury team and the broader Finance function by mentoring junior team members, assisting with year-end audits and auditor queries, and providing ad-hoc operational support as needed.Skills required: Education: Degree in Management or a related field; SSC background is a plus. Experience: Approximately 4–7 years of relevant experience. Experience in Private Equity is not required, Financial services experience is preferred, whether gained in-house or within professional services. Technical Knowledge: Hands-on experience with daily cash positioning and cash flow forecasting. Analytical Skills: Ability to develop and analyse KPIs. Strong process-oriented mindset Systems Skills: High proficiency in financial systems, including Treasury Management Systems. Communication Skills: Excellent written communication and report-writing abilities. Organisational Skills: Strong ability to manage a wide range of responsibilities, both individually and within a team environment.Note: the role is likely to involve occasional travel to some European countries, mainly to London.
