About the JobThe role contributes to the implementation and maintenance of a robust financial control environment across Finance, covering all regions and entities, as well as any other entities delegated by the Central team.The objective is to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and high quality of financial data reported to Head Office and local authorities, while supporting regional Accounting Control teams.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop a strong understanding of the accounting control framework and its quality across regions and entities within the assigned scopeBuild and maintain a trusted, transparent, and efficient two-way partnership with regional entities and key process stakeholdersEnsure the proper rollout, implementation, and monitoring of the Group Accounting Control Plan across the assigned regions/entitiesPerform on-site reviews and audits of accounting control setups (travel required)Identify, assess, and quantify control deficiencies, preparing clear and concise reports for Senior Management and governance bodiesEnsure Regional Finance teams fully comply with their control responsibilities and with all prescribed control proceduresCollect, review, and analyze FACT certificates from regions and entitiesMaintain a strong understanding of key issues and challenges faced by the regions/entitiesContribute to the preparation of periodic and ad-hoc control and governance reportsMonitor and follow up on recommendations issued by General Inspection, Internal Audit, Regulators, and External AuditorsTrack Finance-related operational risk incidents, assess their impact on the control framework, and monitor remediation plans and timelinesOrganize and chair Internal Control Committee (FORCC) meetings at least quarterly with the regions/entities within scopeContribute to the Accounting and Financial Risk Committee (AFRiC) for assigned regions and transversal topicsHold ad-hoc meetings with Regional Finance teams when requiredEnsure the effective rollout of any additional Control PlansProfile and SkillsMaster's degree or equivalent qualificationMinimum of 3 years of professional experience in finance, audit, or controlStrong accounting expertise and solid control backgroundFluency in English, both written and spokenClear, concise, and effective communication skillsStrong team player with the ability to challenge and critically assess informationAbility to manage multiple priorities in a tight-deadline environmentFlexible, well-organized, and methodical approach to workCurious, detail-oriented, rigorous, reliable, and open-mindedStrong networking skills and ability to influence and engage stakeholdersAbility to understand, support, and explain changeCapable of inspiring others and generating commitmentAbility to anticipate business and strategic developmentsWeekend work and extended hours during closing periods are compensated according to company policyAbout the TeamThe Finance function is composed of a large, international team managing a broad portfolio of entities across multiple regions.The team's mission is to measure, control, and explain key financial indicators required for accounting, tax, regulatory, liquidity, and credit risk reporting, as well as management performance and results.
