About Responsibilities
The main mission will be:
The Accountant will join our Finance team and will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting internal and external reporting requirements.
* Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal postings;
* Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements;
* Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and support tax filings (VAT, corporate tax, etc.);
* Support audits by providing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries;
* Monitor accounts payable and receivable processes;
* Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities;
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and transparency;
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
Who you are:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
* Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles;
* Solid knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS or local GAAP);
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics Business Central) and Excel;
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills;
* Good communication skills in English (written and spoken) and French is a plus.
Nice to have:
* Experience in a multinational or shared services environment;
* Knowledge of tax compliance in Portugal/France/other relevant countries;
* Familiarity with automation tools or Power BI;
* Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
