We’re looking for a sharp and strategic Cost Controller to join our team and help keep our operations smart, efficient, and always on point.
What You’ll Do
As our Cost Controller, you’ll be the go-to person for managing food and beverage costs – keeping an eye on the numbers while making sure we never compromise on quality or creativity. You’ll work closely with the kitchen and management teams to deliver actionable insights and help us make data-informed decisions that support the Mona Verde experience.
Your Main Responsibilities
Cost Control & Analysis
Track and analyze daily F&B costs, flagging discrepancies and driving improvements.
Review recipes and portion sizes to ensure efficiency without compromising quality.
Run regular COGS analysis and share key takeaways with the management team.
Inventory & Purchasing
Oversee inventory levels and help reduce waste.
Work with the purchasing team to negotiate with suppliers, balancing quality and cost.
Implement and maintain procedures for inventory control, including audits and reconciliations.
Financial Reporting
Prepare general financial reports related to F&B cost performance.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes aligned with our goals.
Help develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
Compliance & Internal Controls
Ensure policies and procedures are followed, and internal controls are solid.
Assist with audits and ensure proper documentation is always available.
Stay current on industry best practices and regulatory standards.
What We’re Looking For
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in F&B cost control, ideally in hospitality.
Comfortable with accounting/inventory software (e.g., Winrest, NetBO, etc.).
Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into action.
Clear communicator with strong collaboration skills.
Detail-oriented and proactive problem-solver.
Experience in accounting is a plus.
