Reporting directly to the CFO, you will own financial control, reporting, and accounting while also helping design and implement systems and processes that can scale a multi entity business across the Netherlands, the UK, and Germany. This role goes beyond traditional reporting and offers the chance to build the finance engine of an AI native company.
Description
Financial control and reporting
: you lead the month end close, consolidation, and management reporting across all entities. You deliver accurate and timely financial results by working day 10 each month. You support audit preparation and ensure compliance with local GAAP requirements. You implement consistent accounting policies and internal controls across the group.
Systems, process, and automation
: you identify manual finance processes and automate them across billing, reconciliations, and reporting using internal tools and integrations. You support the CFO in selecting and implementing an AI native ERP system. You take ownership of data accuracy and reconciliations between Finance, Salesforce, and operational systems.
Financial operations
: you oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense management. You lead cashflow forecasting, working capital tracking, and AR collections. You partner with the COO and CFO to improve order to cash and invoicing automation. You maintain intercompany balances and coordinate group accounting entries.
Governance and compliance
: you maintain a strong internal control environment and a clear finance governance framework. You support audit ready accounts across all legal entities. You ensure compliance with tax filings, VAT, and other statutory obligations in collaboration with external partners.
Business partnering and insight
: you collaborate with Finance, Sales, and Customer Success on forecasting and revenue analysis. You provide insights into customer profitability, pricing, and financial performance. You contribute to dashboards and data driven reporting together with the CFO and RevOps teams.
Profile
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master's degree is a plus.
5 to 8 plus years of experience in accounting, controlling, or financial management.
Experience in SaaS, technology, or international multi entity businesses is strongly preferred.
Background in audit, scale up finance, or Financial Consultancy is a plus.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, consolidation, and intercompany processes.
Strong systems mindset and interest in process improvement.
Excellent Excel skills, experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI is a plus.
Experience with workflow automation, APIs, or integrations is a strong advantage.
Fluent in Dutch, English is a plus.
Highly structured, detail oriented, and data driven.
Motivated to build and improve, not just maintain.
