A2F Consulting is looking for a Financial Analyst with strong modelling and excellent analytical skills to join our team of analysts in our growing business.
We are an international consulting firm and provide a broad range of advisory services and policy advice in the areas of financial & private sector development in emerging markets. We work with international development institutions, multi- and bilateral organizations, foundations, as well as governments and corporate clients. The company was founded in 2007 and has offices in the Washington/DC, Frankfurt/Germany, and Lisbon/Portugal.
RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
• Contribute to evaluations of financial institutions and financial markets in emerging countries.
• Very strong spreadsheet modeling and financial analysis skills.
• Analyze financial data and summarize findings.
• Support research and financial market assessments.
• Contribute to due diligence reviews and valuation exercises.
• Support and participate in projects on and off-site.
• Proactively support business development including writing proposals and technical reports.
• Knowledge management and coaching
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally (about 10%) is required
QUALIFICATIONS
• A graduate degree in Finance or Business Administration from an accredited university
• 2 or more years of post-graduate work experience in Finance
• Very strong spreadsheet modeling and financial analysis skills (ideally for financial institutions)
• Prior experience with MSME Finance and/or Bank Analysis would be a plus
• Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
• Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines as team member as well as task manager
• Outstanding client management and interpersonal skills
• Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn
• Fluency in written and spoken English and French is required
• Other foreign language skills (Spanish) would be a plus
• Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Portugal
