Implement a shift-left approach by integrating testing and security early in the development processAdhere to DevSecOps principles to enhance security posture while maintaining development efficiencyImplement and maintain the IoT monitoring strategy of systems and applicationsWork closely with cross-functional teams, including Developers, Operations and security teams to establish monitoring requirements for CI/CD pipelines, microservices, and IoT environmentsDevelop dashboards and reporting frameworks to provide visibility into system health, availability, and performance trendsPromote a proactive monitoring culture, equipping teams with the appropriate tools and processes to prevent incidentsEnsure Automation, CI/CD, and Monitoring systems comply with Vodafone security policies and regulatory requirementsContribute for the development of an internal developer portal, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the developer experienceContribute to the design and maintenance of our Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plan (BD/DR), ensuring IoT systems remain resilient and recoverable in the face of unexpected distruptionsImprove the Connectivity service delivered to Vodafone IoT customersAssure the proper dimensioning for the owned IoT platforms, guaranteeing capacity is used efficientlyGuarantee owned IoT Connectivity platforms can cope with new products being delivered to IoT customersManage stakeholders and vendors as required for the technical delivery and report project progress & activitiesWho you are
Degree in Software Engineer or related discipline with Computer Science Good understanding of DevOps methodology mindset, CI/CD best practices and agile principlesGood understanding of information security Scripting experience such as bash, python, perl, groovy, powershellProven experience with GIT and basic understanding of branching strategiesExperience with Jenkins as a developer - Jenkins, Pipelines, DSLExperience with Backstage as developerValued experience with integration with other DevOps stack toolsGood understanding of system monitoring tools and automated testing frameworksIndustry experience with Software Platforms on Linux, on-premises and cloud Server technologiesProven experience of CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes using tools like Jenkins, Travis CI, or GitLab CI/CDUnderstanding of security principles, practices and standards and how they translate into real-world technical solutionsExperience in implementation of development portals such as backstageGood knowledge of DevOps principles and branc stretegiesAble to work well within a multinational, multicultural environmentExperience in supporting BC/DR planning effortsExperience working with Agile delivery methodologies, especially SAFe, desirableExperience in complex international programmes: the role holder will need to be able to work laterally with technical (engineering and operations) and business functions (line of business, finance) within VodafoneConsultative, customer-focused design mind-setStrong presentation and communication skills, to technical, business and (senior) management audienceStrong work planning- and time management skillsWilling to learn and a strong sense of ownsership and autonomy
