About The Job
Main missions
- Engineer (Build) and test solutions, document accordingly and handover to operations team.
- Provide 3rd level support to the operations function (on & offshore).
- Undertake project activities.
- Drive process improvement initiatives (e.g. Automation, documentation & transition to offshore team).
- Support pro-active maintenance, including software upgrades, patching, hardening, vulnerability management, capacity management, inventory management.
- Ensure that agreed service levels are met.
- Ensure audit compliance is maintained to agreed levels.
- Being a team coordinating instance for our Ops. Squad
Expected Skills & Experience
Experience
- Experience working with DevOps methodologies using Git and Puppet, or one of the major configuration management toolsets e.g. Ansible / Salt / Chef.
- Very good expertise in one or more of the assigned technologies, with multi-year hands-on experience and vendor-approved accreditations.
- Interest in infrastructure technologies (Network, virtualization, OS, storage, middlewares, etc.) enabling proactive discussions with AXA Go teams to deliver solutions during incidents or projects.
- Professional experience gained during several years in respective areas with significant time in an OPS context.
- First experiences leading a team is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux and/or CentOS 5-8.
- Linux or Unix servers in the range of 100s-1000s of servers.
- Red Hat Directory Server / DS389 / OpenLDAP would be a plus.
Soft Skills / Transversal Skills
- A successful computer science education (University, Technical College, etc.) is a plus.
- Process-oriented thinking, structured approach and familiarity with ITIL processes in an international enterprise-scale IT Service delivery organization with offshore presence.
- Communicative and team-minded with a high sense of responsibility and quality, ability to plan and coordinate delivery across multiple teams.
- High motivation and ability to work under pressure.
