Job Description
Role of a Mid/Senior IT Business Analyst, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver digital solutions aligned with the needs of our high-profile EU and Public Sector clients. Your expertise will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring the successful implementation of agile methodologies and IT solutions.
As a Mid/Senior IT Business Analyst you will:
* Facilitate Agile practices (Scrum/Kanban) to support collaboration and efficient delivery.
* Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements through stakeholder engagement and workshops.
* Translate requirements into prioritized user stories and manage a structured product backlog.
* Act as a bridge between stakeholders and technical teams to ensure clarity and alignment on deliverables.
* Configure systems based on user needs and coordinate customizations with development teams.
* Support sprint planning, reviews, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business goals.
* Identify process improvement opportunities and maintain clear documentation for project teams and stakeholders.
* Work remotely from Portugual
Qualifications
What would make you a fit for the role:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (master's and certifications like CBAP/CSPO are a plus)
* 6+ years of experience as a business analyst, ideally on large-scale projects for European institutions or the public sector
* Strong skills in Agile methodologies, business process modeling (BPMN), and tools like ARIS and Camunda
* Proficiency in gathering and translating complex business requirements into actionable technical specifications
* Familiarity with BDD, story mapping, personas, Gherkin syntax, and user testing coordination
* Fluency in English and Portuguese, with strong communication and analytical skills and attention to detail
* Strong ability to adapt quickly to complex business environments and a fast learner.
* Knowledge of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and asynchronous communication tools such as Apache Kafka is an asset.
