In the EMEA ELSE Discovery Trainee Program, you will develop skills necessary to kickstart a career in the Service division at ABB. As a trainee, you will be part of a community and participate in activities with other trainees, such as training sessions to enhance soft and technical skills, meeting project deadlines, and engaging in social and team-building activities to expand your network within ABB. Throughout the program, you will receive support from the Program Lead.
This role contributes to the Electrification, Service division in Spain.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support ABB's businesses, collaborate with different leaders and teams, and contribute to the company's strategic objectives. Each day, you will gain knowledge by performing tasks as directed by your leader. You will also work towards achieving your career goals through participation in professional development activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist sales, tendering, and project managers in technical reviews and discussions with customers, partners, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Deliver projects within budget and on time.
- Assist with claims, customer specifications, and safety standards.
- Create and deliver work plans and budgets, including risk assessments relevant to your engineering discipline.
- Help customers resolve technical issues remotely and at customer sites.
- Liaise with factories regarding delivery, design, and technical resolutions.
Qualifications
- Recent bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Understanding of project management principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A growth mindset focused on continual learning and improvement.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan well and follow through to project completion.
