Africa-Europe Partnerships for Culture: Connect and Create Professional Mobilities Fund for Performing Arts Professionals
The Connect and Create Professional Mobilities call for proposals aims to support organisations and international events in Africa or Europe that host delegations composed of non-artist professionals from both continents.
Connect and Create – Africa-Europe Partnerships for Culture is a programme funded by the European Union with a budget of €8 million.
The programme is implemented by a consortium composed of the Goethe-Institut and Expertise France, in collaboration with the Institut français.
This Professional Mobilities mechanism seeks to strengthen exchanges between performing arts professionals by supporting mobilities between Africa and Europe, as well as within the African continent.
Mobility programmes may be integrated into:
festivals, biennials, and major international events
fairs, markets, and conventions
summits, seminars, symposiums, and workshops.
Delegations may include, among others:
programmers, producers, and agents
representatives of companies and festivals,
technical, communications, and public relations managers.
Delegations must include at least 8 cultural professionals, aged over 18, from one of the 48 sub-Saharan African, countries or one of the 27 EU countries.
Delegations must demonstrate a strong international dimension: with at least 5 different nationalities for delegations of 8 to 10 professionals, or with at least 8 different nationalities for delegations of more than 10 professionals.
Applications must be made from associations, foundations, cultural institutions, private companies, etc., with proven experience in the field of performing arts, based in one of the 48 Sub-Saharan African countries or one of the 27 EU Member States.
Funding ranging from 15,000 EUR to 25,000 EUR can be provided for hosting delegations (include for travel, visa and insurance costs)
, taking place between March **** and December ****.
This Call for Proposals will be opened until 30 June ****.
The selection of the awardees will be processed through two selection committees, to be held in January and September ****.
