We are currently looking for a new member for the Brightcity team in the position of Project Manager, Energy Efficiency (Brightcity).
Working Place: Sonae Sierra's Central Offices in Maia
Requirements:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Information Systems, or a related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in project management roles within tech, engineering, or smart building environments.Experience managing digital product development projects, especially in sustainable infrastructure or IoT-based platforms.Experience with AFIR (Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation) and EV charging infrastructure is highly valued.Strong knowledge of energy systems, building automation, and/or sustainable technologies is a plus.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Experience working in Agile environments and familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, and MS Project.PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification is an advantage.Fluent in English (spoken and written); other languages are a plus.Responsibilities:Lead cross-functional teams in the development and delivery of digital platforms for energy efficiency and sustainable building management.Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring timely and quality delivery.Coordinate with stakeholders across engineering, product, and client teams to define clear project scopes and objectives.Monitor and report on project progress using Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).Translate client and business needs into technical requirements and oversee solution implementation.Drive continuous improvement in project execution, focusing on smart building technologies and user-centric platforms.Ensure compliance with internal processes and external sustainability regulations (e.g., BREEAM, LEED, ISO 50001).Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies early in the development cycle.Occasional working visits to sites or partners in Portugal and other European countries may be required.At Sonae Sierra, we are committed to creating a workplace that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive.
