International Trade Compliance Specialist
About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced International Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant international trade regulations and customs laws.
In this role, you will work closely with various stakeholders to implement and maintain effective trade compliance strategies, including identifying and mitigating potential risks, conducting audits and inspections, and providing training and guidance to colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage import and export activities in accordance with company policies and applicable customs and trade sanctions regulations.
* Provide trade compliance guidance and support to internal stakeholders, including sales teams, logistics providers, and other departments.
* Act as an escalation point for complex trade matters, working with internal and external experts to resolve issues.
* Analyze and interpret customs and export control regulations to ensure compliant operations.
* Support customs-related audits and inspections, working closely with regulatory bodies and third-party auditors.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate trade compliance into business processes and plans.
Requirements
* 10+ years of experience in international trade compliance, with a strong understanding of customs regulations and procedures.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
* Knowledge of international trade laws and regulations, including export controls and sanctions.
