This is a full-time, hands-on engineering role focused on designing and developing SlashID's Identity Protection platform.As an engineer at SlashID, you will:Design, build, and maintain high-performance backend services for real-time identity threat detection and response pipelinesDevelop and scale infrastructure that processes identity data and security events from multiple cloud environmentsImplement systems to track, correlate, and analyze activity across credentials, tokens, permissions, and rolesDefine detection logic, enforce policy controls, and prevent misconfigurationsCreate monitoring, logging, and alerting systems that provide deep visibility into service health and user activityContribute to technical architecture decisions and write clear design documentationTake part in code reviews and on-call rotationsPartner with frontend engineers to expose backend capabilities in the SlashID ConsoleWrite developer-facing and customer-facing documentation as neededYou will use:Go (Golang)GCP (Google Cloud Platform)Neo4jBigQueryPostgreSQL and MySQLRedisDockerTerraformYou are a good fit if you:Want to build great products, and not just backend featuresHave experience building scalable, secure backend systems in production environmentsHave a strong understanding of cloud-native architecture and distributed systemsHave worked on security-focused products, such as identity, access control, threat detection, or SIEMsHave experience with Neo4j or other graph databasesHave a deep understanding of application security, including authentication, authorization, and secrets managementAre comfortable building data pipelines and services that process large volumes of events in near-real timeCare about engineering best practices, test coverage, observability, and performance optimizationWork well in fast-paced environments with a high degree of autonomyAre thoughtful in code and communication, with attention to user and developer experienceAre confident writing high-quality Go code (or are comfortable picking it up quickly)Please note:The role level (Senior or Principal) will depend on your experience and interview performanceThe team is based in Europe and we're looking for candidates in compatible time zonesUnfortunately, we cannot sponsor VISAs at this timeSlashID is a remote-first company with flexible working arrangementsFor candidates outside the US, employment is via B2B contract or employer of record
