Job Description
United Lisbon International School is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and people-oriented Head of Admissions to lead the enrolment journey for families from around the world.
As part of the prestigious Dukes Education Group, United Lisbon offers a future-focused curriculum, world-class facilities, and a vibrant international community in the heart of Lisbon. This role is ideal for a visionary leader who combines strategic insight, data literacy, and exceptional interpersonal skills to ensure an outstanding admissions experience while driving sustainable growth.
You will lead a high-performing admissions team, collaborate with key internal departments, and act as a trusted ambassador for the school locally and internationally.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement a data-informed admissions strategy aligned with United Lisbon`s long-term growth goals.
- Cultivate relationships with strategic partners such as relocation agencies, embassies, corporates, and feeder schools.
- Monitor market trends and analyse enrollment data to guide planning and optimize recruitment.
- Lead the complete admissions life-cycle — from inquiry to enrollment and on-boarding.
- Ensure a warm, personalized, and professional experience for every family.
- Maintain clear policies and utilize CRM tools (e.g., OpenApply, HubSpot) to manage and analyze application data.
- Drive improvements in conversion, retention, and family satisfaction.
- Manage and inspire the admissions team to deliver exceptional service and meet enrollment targets.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, finance, academics, and operations to align efforts and streamline workflows.
- Provide coaching, professional development, and performance feedback within the team.
- Represent ULIS at open days, international fairs, networking events, and community outreach.
- Serve as a key advisor to prospective families, building strong relationships built on empathy, trust, and professionalism
- Act as a brand ambassador for the school, promoting its mission, values, and inclusive ethos.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in admissions or enrollment management, preferably within an international or independent school setting.
- Proven success in leading teams and delivering on ambitious enrollment targets.
- Strong knowledge of international education systems, family relocation dynamics, and school selection trends.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's or relevant professional qualification (e.g., in education, marketing, or business) highly valued.
- Strategic mindset with commercial acumen.
- Excellent communicator with high emotional intelligence and intercultural sensitivity.
- Data-driven and tech-savvy, with experience using CRM platforms like OpenApply, HubSpot, or Salesforce.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and results-oriented.
