Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer – Airspace Mobility Solutions Thales, located in Paco De Arcos – Q45, Portugal.Overview For more than 35 years, Thales has acted in Portugal for global Defence and Aerospace markets, delivering innovative solutions that enhance customer security across land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace through a technical team of excellence.ResponsibilitiesIntegrate, configure and validate infrastructure solutions, ensuring all technical and functional requirements are met.Produce and maintain detailed design documentation, solution specifications, test plans and bills of material.Lead activities and small teams within agile sprints, coordinating design, integration and break‐fix deliveries.Install, configure, validate and hand over equipment to systems integration teams locally or at customer sites worldwide.Support testing, troubleshooting and hardware/software integration in complex environments.Identify technical risks and propose effective solutions while actively participating in design reviews and customer meetings.RequirementsDegree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or related fields, with excellent communication skills and ability to produce clear technical documentation.Availability for business travelling around the world.Solid experience with Red Hat Linux systems, including configuration, performance tuning, hardening and automation.Strong skills in automation with Ansible and experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Octopus, Travis).Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Shell, Perl, YAML) for automation and integration.Knowledge of hardware and networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, Cisco/HP/Lenovo) and hardware validation processes.Contact Applications are accepted through our Career portal.
