As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience across a variety of platforms and products, with a focus on dashboarding, analytics and AI-powered tools. You'll leverage your deep understanding of design principles, systems, and user research to create visually stunning, user-friendly designs that meet both business and user needs. This role includes contributing to the design of interfaces that incorporate machine learning or AI-based features, such as personalized insights, intelligent automation, and natural language interactions.
In this role, you'll collaborate closely with researchers, designers, developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure design consistency, scalability, and exceptional usability.
Role Description
* Lead design initiatives across multiple platforms, with an emphasis on dashboarding, analytics and AI-integrated tools driving the user experience and design vision from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with user needs and business goals while pushing creative boundaries.
* Contributes to the creation, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of our design system, ensuring consistency across all products. Collaborate with the team to evolve the system, maintaining reusable and scalable components for AI-powered features (e.g., recommendation widgets, chat interfaces, automated insights).
* Drive the design process using user feedback, user interviews, usability testing, and data analysis, especially focusing on the design implications of AI outputs and their interpretability for end users.
* Partner with product managers, developers, and data/AI teams to translate complex algorithms and AI behaviors into intuitive, human-centered design solutions. Create wireframes, prototypes, visual designs, and interaction patterns that are visually compelling and user-friendly.
* Mentor junior designers and share expertise in design best practices with the broader team. Stay updated on the latest UI/UX design trends and techniques.
Role Requirements & Capabilities:
* 20+ years of UI/UX design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing intuitive, user-centered designs across web and mobile platforms, particularly for dashboarding, analytics tools or AI-powered experiences.
* Proficiency in Figma, with a solid understanding of creating and maintaining design systems.
* Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with the ability to understand how designs translate into code.
* Familiarity with the challenges of designing for AI, including explainability, trust, transparency, and user control.
* Experience working in agile environments with cross-functional teams, including product managers and developers.
* Strong understanding of user research methods and the ability to translate insights into actionable design decisions.
* Deep knowledge of typography, color theory, and layout, balancing aesthetic appeal with functionality.
* Excellent ability to articulate and present design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Proven experience in creating and maintaining scalable, consistent design systems for high-quality user interfaces.
* Comfortable navigating ambiguity, setting clear milestones, incrementally breaking down work, and adapting plans as needed.
* Being data-driven in your approach, with experience of using tools like Looker, Heap, GA, Hotjar or similar to inform your design
