Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist specializing in Life Sciences to join our dynamic team.
This role involves leveraging advanced data analytics to drive insights and solutions for clients in the pharma, biotech, medtech, and healthcare sectors.
You will work in engaging projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and act as a technical contributor and mentor.
Your responsibilities include developing and implementing AI and Machine Learning solutions, enhancing decision-making processes, and improving operational efficiency.
Additionally, you will support business development through pre-sales initiatives, research, and the development of new services and products, while also participating in conferences, publishing articles, and fostering a continuous learning environment.

Key Responsibilities: Execute data science projects in the life sciences domain, from data collection and processing to model development and deployment.Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to drive technological innovation.Provide technical expertise in presales activities, including developing proof-of-concepts and presenting data science capabilities to potential clients.Design and implement advanced analytical applications for health and biomedical data analysis.Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science and life sciences to apply cutting-edge techniques.Mentor junior data scientists and provide technical guidance to the team.Promote best practices and ensure project quality.Qualifications: PhD or Master's degree in Data Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Engineering, Mathematical Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or related STEM disciplines.Minimum of 3 years of experience in data science, with a focus on the life sciences industryExperience with healthcare data standards and terminologiesStrong knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical methods, and data mining techniquesProficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL.Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.G., AWS, Azure, GCP).Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.Experience in presales or client-facing roles.Fluent in professional English.Nice to Have: Experience with real-world evidence generation and observational research.Knowledge of advanced NLP techniques and unstructured data analysis, including Generative AI.Publications or contributions to the data science community.Experience using Cloud services and APIs (GCP, Microsoft, AWS).Experience with AGILE methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).Soft Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills.Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.Customer orientation, goal achievement, and strong problem-solving ability.Precision and stress tolerance in meeting deadlines.Availability for travel in Portugal and abroad.Next Steps: Once we receive your CV, we will take the time to review it thoroughly.
