We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer for a project in Almada.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and execute Kubernetes upgrades according to a cadence previously agreed upon with the client team.
* Support across all three clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP).
* Assess the feasibility of supporting future Kubernetes versions.
* Work on the approval and execution of ICRs.
* Evaluate, identify, and prototype ways to reduce the effort involved in the Kubernetes upgrade process.
* Accelerate downtime upgrades for Elasticsearch nodes.
* Update cloud integrations simultaneously with the clusters.
* Proactively detect disruptive changes in the Kubernetes API and assess the impact of those changes.
Requirements:
* Academic background in Computer Engineering or a similar field.
* Proven experience with a public cloud (preferably AWS, but Azure or GCP are also acceptable).
* Recent experience in DevOps projects using the following technologies:
* Use of Terraform or a similar tool.
* Use of a CI/CD tool (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Flux CD, Argo CD, or others).
* Experience with Kubernetes and containerization in general.
* Experience with Elasticsearch workload upgrades in Kubernetes (is a plus).
* Cloud certification (is a plus).
* Previous experience in software development projects and/or network knowledge (is a plus).
* Experience with Argo CD and/or Spot.IO (is a plus).
