Frontend / UI Developer (full-time, 12-month contract, remote, Portugal)

We're People for Research (PFR), a leading UK-based recruitment agency for user research participants. As we roll out the next phase of our growth strategy, we're looking for an experienced Frontend / UI Developer to join us on a 12-month, maternity-cover contract.
What you'll do
From optimising website UX to improving internal delivery systems, you'll play a pivotal role in evolving PFR's frontend capability. Your work will go beyond building interfaces: You'll get to shape how global brands, government teams, and tech companies gain insights from quality participants.

About you
You'll thrive in this role if you have:
* Deep understanding of server-side rendering architecture and patterns in Next.js 14+ (App Router, React Server Components, streaming, data fetching strategies).
* Proficient in TypeScript and React 18+.
* Solid experience with Tailwind CSS and component libraries (HeroUI, Shadcn/UI, Radix, etc.).
* Deep understanding of frontend security best practices.
* Committed to accessibility standards and mobile-first design.
* Fluent written and spoken English.
You'll stand out if you have:
* Design system development experience.
* Figma skills for translating designs and creating mock-ups for stakeholders.
* Background with CMS platforms and blogging tools.
* Track record of third-party integrations with the frontend.
* SEO optimisation know-how and experience working with marketing teams.

* Salary: €40,000 + generous bonus scheme
