A leading online retailer seeks a Product Manager to head the Search & Discovery domain.
The ideal candidate will manage and mentor a team of product managers, collaborating with engineering, data science, UX, and marketing to deliver intelligent search and discovery experiences.
This role has a direct impact on business-critical KPIs and involves driving AI innovation across discovery surfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
* Domain Leadership: Own and evolve the product vision and strategy for the Search & Discovery domain.
* Lead and support a team of PMs across different product verticals: vehicle fitment selectors, search engine, filters, recommendation systems, etc.
* Drive the domain in strategic planning, OKRs, and cross-functional and cross-domain collaboration.
Product Execution:
* Prioritise and sequence initiatives based on impact, effort, and interdependencies.
* Work closely with engineering, data, and design to deliver high-quality, high-velocity outcomes.
* Drive continuous experimentation (A/B testing) to improve relevance, ranking, click-through, and conversion rates.
* Oversee integration of structured and unstructured data (catalog, reviews, user behavior) into discovery logic.
Candidate Requirements:
* User Insight: Deeply understand user behaviour: how customers search, browse, and refine when looking for parts.
* Business Impact: Reduce 'dead ends' in the journey: minimise empty search results, bad sort orders, or irrelevant filters.
* Technical Expertise: Collaborate with catalog and SEO teams to connect discovery improvements with traffic and revenue growth.
* Customer Focus: Ensure all product experiences work seamlessly across web, app, and major markets (multi-language, multi-market support).
AI Integration:
* Champion the use of AI/ML for ranking, synonym detection, dynamic sorting, and auto-complete.
* Guide personalisation strategies using AI-driven recommendations based on session behaviour, purchase history, and car models.
* Partner with the AI/ML team to turn large-scale data into real-time, intelligent product discovery.
* Explore generative AI for natural language queries, smarter product suggestions, and enriched search experiences.
Talent Development:
* Mentor and coach PMs in the group, growing their capabilities and ensuring alignment to strategy.
* Ensure product discovery best practices, roadmap transparency, and rigorous execution are upheld.
* Foster a collaborative, customer-centric, and metrics-driven culture within the group.
