This role is IT-led, with a strong focus on: Application support and functional troubleshooting System integrations and data flows Business-facing IT enablementWhile prior exposure to billing or revenue processes is beneficial, the role is open to strong IT professionals who are motivated to learn these domains and grow into a finance-facing systems role.Key Responsibilities1. Application Support & Operations (Core IT Focus) Provide functional application support for billing, invoicing, and finance-related systems Monitor application jobs, interfaces, and batch processes; troubleshoot failures and data issues Act as Level 2 / Level 3 support for business users, coordinating with vendors or internal IT teams Ensure application availability, data consistency, and operational stability 2. Business Systems Enablement Work closely with Finance, Billing, and Revenue users to understand functional requirements Translate business needs into system configurations, enhancements, or process improvements Support user queries, system changes, and controlled deployments Participate in UAT, regression testing, and release validation 3. ERP & SAP (User-Level Exposure) Use SAP as a functional user (not Basis/admin) for: Transaction validation Financial postings support Data reconciliation and reporting checks Support integrations between SAP and upstream/downstream systems (billing platforms, data sources) Assist finance teams during period close activities from a systems perspective 4. Data Validation & Reconciliation Support Support data reconciliations across systems to ensure completeness and accuracy Analyze system outputs to identify gaps, mismatches, or processing issues Assist in root cause analysis for billing or posting discrepancies (with business teams) 5. Process Improvement & Automation Identify opportunities for: Automation Standardization Improved controls within application workflows Support documentation of SOPs, system flows, and operational runbooks Contribute to system modernization and continuous improvement initiatives Key Interfaces Finance & Accounting Revenue Assurance IT / Billing Systems TeamsRequired Skills & ExperienceCore IT Skills (Must Have) 3–6 years of experience in IT application support, systems operations, or business applications Experience supporting enterprise applications (ERP, billing, finance, or operations systems) Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Comfortable working with data, interfaces, and batch-driven systems Good understanding of end-to-end application lifecycle (support, change, testing) SAP & Finance Exposure (Good to Have) SAP experience as a user or functional support role (FI exposure preferred) Understanding of basic finance concepts such as: Invoicing Revenue flows Month-end close (at a high level) Experience working with Finance or Accounting stakeholders Billing / Revenue Background (Optional) Prior exposure to: Billing systems Revenue operations Telecom / subscription-based environments is a plus, not a prerequisite Strong inclination and ability to learn billing and revenue concepts is more important than prior expertise.Qualifications & ExperienceEducation Bachelor's degree inInformation Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (Degree in Finance or Accounting is acceptable when combined with strong IT systems experience)Core Competencies Strong attention to detail and data accuracy orientation Ability to work under tight closing deadlines Ownership mindset with high accountability for revenue integrity Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Effective communication with finance, IT, and operations stakeholders
