Overview Postdoctoral Researcher – Biological Sciences (Microbiology) – 'Recognised Researcher (R2)' position under a fixed‐term contract (maximum 12 months). The role focuses on OMICS‐based studies of Salmonella spp. within the EU‐funded Bio4PAK project. Duties include developing research protocols, analysing data, publishing and participating in collaborative projects.ResponsibilitiesDesign and conduct OMICS‐based experiments (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics) on Salmonella spp. isolates.Analyse datasets, interpret results and prepare scientific manuscripts.Collaborate with the research group at the biological sciences research unit (iBB) and contribute to project deliverables.Present findings in internal and external forums and support project's scientific outreach.QualificationsPh.D. (or equivalent) in Biological Sciences, Microbiology or a related field.Demonstrated experience with OMICS technologies and data analysis.Strong publication record in peer‐reviewed journals.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Effective communication skills in English and Portuguese.Benefits and CompensationMonthly remuneration: €2,408.11 (remuneration table NR 33).22 annual vacation days.Parental leave 120–180 days (with social security subvention).Food allowance per workday.Work location: 12 Av.
