We are looking for a Business Analyst, reporting to the Head of Sales, to support our expansion in the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) software market.
This role is ideal for someone analytical, curious, and commercially driven who wants to understand the Tech/SaaS industry from the ground up and progressively transition into a customer-facing or business development position.
You will research target industries, identify high-value segments, map key companies and decision-makers, and help generate commercial insights that guide our go-to-market strategy.
As you develop confidence and expertise, you will begin engaging prospects directly and supporting our sales pipeline.
Tasks
Market Research & Analysis
· Research the global HSE SaaS market to identify trends, competitive landscape, customer needs, and growth opportunities.
· Identify key industries with high HSE maturity and strong SaaS adoption potential (e.G., manufacturing, oil & gas, construction, logistics, energy, mining, pharma).
· Map priority geographies aligned with our expansion strategy.
· Build a structured view of ideal customer profiles (ICP) and buyer personas (HSE Directors, QHSE Managers, COO, Sustainability Leads, Digital Innovation, etc.).
· Develop lists of target accounts and key contacts using tools such as LinkedIn, business directories, market databases and our CRM.
· Prepare concise market reports and insights to support strategic decision-making.
Commercial & Sales Support
· Support the commercial team with lead qualification, segmentation, and outreach preparation.
· Input market and lead intelligence into the CRM to enhance lead scoring and pipeline visibility.
· Begin conducting introductory outreach to prospects (email, LinkedIn, calls) as confidence develops.
· Support the preparation of sales metrics, dashboards, and performance reporting.
Gradual Progression Into a Commercial Role
· Participate in sales discovery calls alongside senior team members.
· Begin engaging prospects via email, LinkedIn, and introductory calls.
· Learn sales frameworks (BANT, SPIN, MEDDIC) to qualify leads.
· Assist in organising presentations and customer meetings.
· Support offer preparation and follow-up, under supervision.
